The 2021/2022 McBee High School Spelling Bee was held on December 14, 2021 and was hosted by retired MHS teacher, Frances McCluney. This year’s winner was 6th grader Kelton Horton. The runner-up was Brae Perdue from the 7th grade.
Kelton will go on to represent McBee High at the Chesterfield County Schools district-wide Spelling Bee on January 25 at 6:00pm at Palmetto Learning Center in Chesterfield. Kelton is also eligible to compete at the Regional Spelling Bee on February 1, 2022 at Frances Marion University.
