Class meetings will occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1 pm.

Prerequisite: Honors English 3 or Honors English 4

Advanced Placement English 5 will cover the twentieth century British and American plus selections from world literature and extensive vocabulary study. Composition mainly focuses on the analytical skills needed for the AP exam; however, students will also develop skills in argumentative techniques and MLA documentation. Students are required to take the AP exam. Two summer reading books from the honors reading list are required.
