Mrs. Blair named Teacher of the Year

Originally from Hartsville, Mrs. Blair received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Frances Marion University; she has certification in Elementary and Learning Disabilities.

In her 22nd year at MHS (including two years posted at both the High School and McBee Elementary simultaneously), she has spent time working with students in grades kindergarten through 12th.

When asked about her philosophy of teaching, she replied, "I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I believe that all students can learn.  They may not all be able to learn at the same rate or learn the same things, but I believe they all have the ability to learn.  I see evidence of it every day."

Mrs. Blair was honored at the Chesterfield County School Teacher of the Year Banquet on May 7.  Congratulations on this very deserving honor, Mrs. Blair!
