Teacher Workdays

In addition to setting up their classrooms, teachers have collaborated on lesson plans, a common instructional framework, as well as designing a scope and sequence of instruction.

 

Sharing her outlook for the year, Mrs. McCluney said “I’m very optimistic. The instructional alignment and preplanning will benefit all of our students, help us achieve success, and move us forward!”

Our new staff members have been working along with veteran teachers in this process. New Spanish teacher, Anna Catherine Middleton said, “I’m very happy to be back at McBee High. I was a student here just four years ago and am pleased to have the opportunity to join faculty.”

Beyond realigning existing courses, several teachers have been working to design materials for new offerings in Career and Technology Education, Science, English, and the Fine Arts. Senior Bryce Eubanks summed it up: “I’m really excited for all the new offerings, especially Jazz Band!”

Faculty and staff will attend a district-wide meeting at CRMS on Thursday morning. Meet the teacher is Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and school begins on Monday at 7:45 a.m.
