Important Start of School Information

Good evening Panther Nation! We hope you’ve all had a great summer. We’re excitedly preparing the school for your return. Below is some important info about the start of school. Make sure to read it through as some things have changed since last year! 

Registration

Registration will take place during the following dates and times:

Tuesday, August 6
12th Grade: 8:00 - 10:00
11th Grade: 10:30 - 12:30
10th Grade: 1:00 - 3:00

Wednesday, August 7
9th Grade: 8:00 - 10:00
8th Grade: 10:30 - 12:30
7th Grade: 1:00 - 3:00

Fees
Instructional Fee (9-12): $35
Instructional Fee (7-8): $10
Locker: $5
Parking Pass: $10

Pre-register for your parking pass online*! You can find the form on our website (under the Students tab) or by clicking here.

*Parking spaces will still be assigned based on the order students come in for registration (not the order that forms are submitted online).

Meet the Teacher Night

Meet the Teacher Night (also known as Open House) is Thursday, August 15 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

School Supply Lists

School supply lists (for teachers who have sent them in) are posted here.

School Calendar 

The school calendar has been updated with important academic, athletic, and fine arts dates.  More dates are being added all the time.  You can access the calendar by clicking here.  Once there, you can click "Subscribe" to sync all our events with your device.

First Day of School

The first day of school is Monday, August 19. On the first day, students in grades 9-12 may report to breakfast in the cafeteria starting at 7:30am then to their first period class at 7:45am. Students in grades 7 & 8 may report to their first period class starting at 7:30am. 7th and 8th grade students will be taken to breakfast at 7:40am.

Schedules

Mrs. Griggs is mailing student schedules over the next several days. If you did not pick up your report card at the end of school last year, it will be mailed to you with your schedule.

School Policies

School policies including drop-off/car rider info and a visual representation of the dress code (which hasn't changed from last year) can be found under "School Policies" under the Students tab on our website: mhs.chesterfieldschools.org.

New Staff

We want to extend a warm welcome to our new staff members:

Ms. Nita Coleman, Emergency Medical Services Teacher
Dr. Josh McLaurin, Principal
Mrs. Anna Catherine Middleton, Spanish Teacher
Mr. David Morgan, Assistant Principal
Mr. Keith Stevens, Math Teacher

Additionally, several staff members have new assignments or locations:

Mrs. Lori Griggs is now our Guidance Counselor. She and Mrs. Tammy Black have moved to the old guidance office (across from Mrs. McCluney).
Mrs. Tawnia Sellers is now our school secretary and has moved to the front office.
Mrs. Nora Tamburrino has moved to Mr. Ray’s old building. The new EMS program will also be in this building.
Dr. McLaurin’s office has moved to the front office.
Mrs. Townsend has moved to the middle school hallway.
Mr. Morgan’s office will be beside Officer Brown’s office.
