FAFSA Workshop

Mr. Fox’s presentation, “The Sky is the Limit: Paying for College”, assisted seniors and their parents in completing Free Application for Federal Student Aid (more commonly referred to as the FAFSA). A service of the United States Department of Education, the FAFSA is the primary tool that post-secondary institutions use when determining need based financial aid. During the event, one of Mr. Fox’s most shared sentiments was “never let money be the reason you don’t apply to a college”. After his presentation, Mr. Fox spent time with families with specific FAFSA and financial aid questions. When asked about the workshop, Guidance Counselor Lori Griggs commented, “the FAFSA workshop was very informative and the speaker was entertaining. I was extremely pleased with the turnout of our first FAFSA event in several years and am excited to plan more events like this.”

A second FAFSA night is planned for Wednesday, October 29 at 6:00pm in the MHS Media Center.
