Virtual Academy

Students in grades K-12 will have the opportunity to experience quality instruction led by Chesterfield County School District teachers in a virtual classroom environment and focused on 100% virtual instruction. Teachers will be available to assist students with questions and assignments through the virtual platform assigned. If you choose the virtual option, you must commit for the entire semester.

About CCSVA
Virtual education refers to online instruction. The learning environment becomes digital where teachers and students are not face to face in a classroom. We have worked hard selecting the best virtual platform available for our students.

Middle School
For middle school students in grades 6-8, we have chosen Apex Learning. Apex Learning adheres to a proven, research-based instructional design, providing a high-quality curriculum that effectively motivates, engages, and fosters successful learning for every student.

High School
For high school students in grades 9-12, there will be a choice of Virtual SC and/or Apex Learning. Both programs are standards-based courses that meet high school graduation requirements in math, science, English, social studies, world languages, career and technical education, and electives.
