Damian A. Days, Sr. earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from Morris College in July 2015. He earned a Master’s in College Athletic Administration from Coker College on October 30, 2016. Moreover, in December 2020, he earned a Masters in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University. Damian Days, Sr. serves as an Itinerant Physical Education Teacher in Lee County School District at Lower Lee and West Lee Elementary schools.
Coach Days has sixteen years of coaching experience at the college, high school, middle school, and elementary school levels. As an assistant coach at Hartsville High School, over the 2012 and 2013 seasons, his teams claimed two conference championships and two state championships. During the 2016-2017 basketball season, Coach Days served as an assistant coach at Coker University. Coach Days earned the title of Upper Pee Dee Conference Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2020, where he led his teams to two undefeated championships.
Days, a native of Hartsville, South Carolina, is a consummate professional educator with over 20 years of experience in education, athletics, health, physical fitness, and coaching. He has a leadership style that has proven to promote teamwork and positive relationships. Mr. Days began his professional career as a paraprofessional in Spartanburg District 7 and worked diligently to earn a professional South Carolina Educator License through the Teachers of Tomorrow alternative certification program. Mr. Days was named the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year at Lower Lee Elementary School and a Finalist for District Teacher of the Year.
