Athletic Event Locations

Football Stadium

When Athlete is injured:
(An Athletic Trainer is present)
  1. The Athletic Trainer and Head Coach should be the only people attending to the athlete, while on the field (unless requested by athletic trainer)
  2. The Athletic trainer will determine the severity of the injury and if EMS should be activated
  3. If EMS needs to be activated the game administrator shall follow the “Procedures to use when activating EMS”
  4. If EMS is not needed, the athletic trainer will determine if the athlete may return to play and/or proper treatment.
(If the Athletic Trainer is not present)
  1. The Head Coach should assess the severity of the injury. If the injury is a medical emergency, EMS should be activated. If the injury is not a medical emergency the Head Coach should call the Athletic Trainer.
  2. The Athletic Trainer should be notified on all injuries as soon as possible.
Procedures to Use When Activating EMS:
  1. Dial 911 from the nearest phone preferably in the area of the injured player
  2. Identify yourself “My name is _____________, and I am calling from McBee High School Football Stadium. We have an injured athlete that needs EMS assistance.”
  3. The address to McBee High School is 264 East Pine Avenue
  4. Give description of the nature of the injury as best possible including location and severity
  5. Give directions for ambulance
    1. Have ambulance arrive at backside of McBee High School Campus and to go to double gate by the halftime locker room or at the double gates near the concession stand depending on where injury is on field
  6. Game administrator or designee will meet EMS and guide them to injured athlete
  7. Bring EMS to injured athlete.
AED Location: Concession stand and/or with ATC
Splint Location: Athletic Training Room in black rolling splint bag or with ATC


**McBee High school Staff will meet EMS at gate near halftime locker rooms or concession stands and direct them to the injured athlete**

Cross Country/Track & Field
 
When Athlete is injured:

  6. Game administrator or designee will meet EMS and let them in gate if needed
  7. Bring EMS to injured athlete.
AED Location: Football concession stand and/or with ATC
Splint Location: Athletic Training Room in black rolling splint bag or with ATC

***McBee High School Staff will meet EMS at the gate and lead them to the injured athlete**
Cross Country/Track & Field
XC Course details:
 
            • Start at first straight on track---full lap (400 m)
            • Uphill through vehicle gate (150 m)
            • East (right) on E. Cedar Ave (250 m)
            • South (right) on Holley Ave (1500 m)
            • SE (left) on Union Church (200 m)
            • NE (left) on Deer Drive (1500 m)
            • NW (left) on E. Cedar Ave (900 m)
            • SE (left) thru vehicle gate
            • Finish in the track infield (100 m)
 
Tennis Courts

When Athlete is injured:

AED Location: Gymnasium, athletic training room, and/or with certified athletic trainer
Splint Location: Athletic Training Room in black rolling splint bag or with ATC
**McBee High School Staff will meet EMS at entrance gate and guide around field house to baseball stadium gate**
Tennis Courts
Basketball/Volleyball Gymnasium, Weight Room, and Athletic Training Room

    1. Have ambulance arrive at side of McBee High School Campus by double door by weight room or back door to ATR
  6. Game administrator or designee will meet EMS and let them in through the door
  7. Bring EMS to injured athlete.
 
AED Location: Gymnasium, athletic training room, and/or with certified athletic trainer
Splint Location: Athletic Training Room in black rolling splint bag or with ATC

***McBee High School Staff will meet EMS by double door by weight room and show them to injured athlete**
Basketball/Volleyball Gymnasium, Weight Room, and Athletic Training Room

  7. Bring EMS to injured athlete.

Splint Location: Athletic Training Room in black rolling splint bag or with ATC
